"Best DECISION I ever made—and the guys at The Woodwork Shop knew everything about it." —BRIAN B., CORDOVA, TN
THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE Memphis-Area Dealer FOR SAWSTOP
If you're researching a SawStop, you already know what it does. The question is where to buy one, and whether you can talk to someone who actually knows the saw before you spend that kind of money.
That's us.
The Woodwork Shop keeps the most popular SawStop table saws and accessories in stock and we can order any model in the SawStop lineup. Our staff has hands-on experience with all of the saws and accessories and can help you configure the perfect one for your shop, your workflow, and your budget.
Which SawStop Is Right for You?
SawStop makes five table saws, and while the differences matter, one thing is always true: every model in the lineup will work flawlessly to save fingers, every time.
Compact Table Saw — The smallest, lightest saw in the lineup at 68 lbs. Carry it like a suitcase. Great for smaller shops, apartment workshops, or anyone who needs SawStop's safety system in a portable package. Full 10" blade with a rack-and-pinion fence that stays dead square. One caveat: no dado blade compatibility.
Jobsite Saw — Portable and built for the job site, with a belt-driven motor and more mass than the Compact. Has a built-in mobile cart. The step up when you need a little more saw but still need to move it around.
Contractor Saw — The entry point for a serious shop setup. Good fence, solid table, all the safety. Popular with serious hobbyists.
Professional Cabinet Saw — This is the one most of our customers are after, because by the time you configure the Contractor Saw the way you want it, it’s just a little bit more for this bad boy. Cast iron top, rock-solid fence, serious rip capacity. Built to run all day. Comes in 1.75 horse 120 or 3 horse for 220.
Industrial Cabinet Saw — For shops that run production. More power, more mass, more everything.
Not sure which one? Call us at (901) 755-7355 or come see us and we'll talk through it.
I get the safety aspect, but is it really a good Table saw?
Yes. 100%. This is why we are so confident in recommending SawStop—it has their exclusive safety features, but it’s as good of a table saw as anyone makes. Full stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. The blade detects skin contact and stops within milliseconds, retracting below the table. There are thousands of documented saves. The blade and brake cartridge need to be replaced after an activation, but that's a small price.
-
No. The saw cuts exactly like any other high-quality cabinet saw. The safety system is passive — you don't notice it until it's saving your fingers.
-
SawStop saws have good dust collection ports, but you'll want at least a 1.5 HP dust collector for a cabinet saw. We carry dust collection equipment and can help you spec the right setup.
-
Yes. We stock them. If you have an activation, come see us.

We try very hard to keep the most popular models in-stock at all times. We keep the Compact, JobSaw and Professional Cabinet Saw in stock and tend to order the others as-needed. Call us and we'll give you a straight answer on timing.
