Santa is a

Santa's Woodwork Shop
Where did you think he gets his tools?
Every toy on that list gets built somewhere. This year, part of it gets built in Bartlett.
For one Saturday, our classroom becomes Santa's Woodwork Shop. He'll be at a real workbench, in front of a backdrop we're building out of real wood. No inflatables, no green screen. A professional photographer takes the pictures, just in time for your holiday cards.
Bring the little ones, bring the grandparents, bring the dog if he'll sit still. Start a tradition your family does every year.
How it works
Three steps to the nice list.
Reserve a slot
Pick a free 30-minute time between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Reservations are required so nobody waits in a long line. Book it here.
Come early, have a cookie
Get here about ten minutes before your slot. There's cocoa, cookies, and a project table to keep little hands busy while you wait.
Photos at the bench
Your whole crew joins Santa at his workbench. We email you a link to your photos afterward, ready for the holiday card.
Free to come · Give what you like
Every dollar donated goes to woodworkers with disabilities.
The photos are free. If you'd like to give, every dollar donated at the door goes to the Katz-Moses Woodworkers with Disabilities Fund. Jonathan Katz-Moses started the fund in 2020 to put tools, resources, and community behind woodworkers living with physical, mental, and combat-related disabilities.
Our motto at the shop is "woodworking is for everybody." Theirs is "Woodworking for Everyone." We were in before the first handshake.
Learn about KMWDF“If any one of us were stuck in a chair, stuck inside because we were too scared of the outside world, or any one of the thousands of afflictions that come with a disability, we know we would be an absolute mess. But making things changes that. It changes deeply, permanently, and forever.”
